For the past few days I have had a nonstop headache. Well, earlier I was officially diagnosed with Migraine headaches. This opened up a door to a really nifty drug called Imitrex. :) I think I am happy with my Dr for the moment.
Now to get this whole sleep schedule of mine back on track... *sigh* If it isn't one thing, invariably it is something else.
Oh, my children were so sweet earlier today. They managed to unravel most of the foot of the sock I have been working on. What little dears I have. :) Guess they didn't like how it was working up, so wanted me to start over. Hahaha!

Updates
Since I haven't posted here in what seems like forever, I figure I should at least mention that in March I gave birth to Dean. Needless to say life has been a bit hectic since then. Tomorrow I will be taking pictures and posting them here to share my little man and some of the woolies that I have made for him the past few months.
I look forward to getting back in the habit of blogging from time to time. :)

February already!
It doesn't seem possible that it is February already! There is so much to get done this month, and it feels like there is no time to get it all done. I will be finishing my first term of college in the next couple of weeks and I am freaking out! In a good way, but still freaking out.
I have been working on a very cute tunic for Piper in the "Piper" colorway from Bohemia Yarn Co. I will post pics as soon as I get the second sleeve finished. :) I have also been busy making hats, pants, kimono's, scarves, etc the last month or so. I have just really had the need to knit and crochet things, so I have been doing so in every spare minute.
I am now entering week 30 of my pregnancy. We came up with a name for our boy, so in the next 7-8 weeks we will be welcoming Dean Samuel into our family. It is such a relief to have a name!!! It will also be a nice relief to know that my baby creating days are at an end. 5 kids in 10 years is plenty, and now it is time for John and I to move onto the next phase of our lives as parents. I think it will be quite an adventure!
More from our world later!

The Era of Obama Is In Full Swing!
I am finding it an interesting ride following Obama as he is signing things into law and trying to get his ideas passed through Congress. I find it incredibly interesting that ZERO republicans voted for the "stimulus" package that he insists NEEDS to be passed, or America will cease to be able to function. Banks will fail, grocery stores will close, people will no longer be able to do anything but sit on their butts and look at each other until Big Brother steps in to save us all from ourselves... give me a break. "Green" jobs are a nice idea, but highly impractical considering how much more expensive "green" energy is. Yup, sign me up for that one please. I am so proud of the republicans in the House for standing on principle and not caving to the bully tactics of the left. Now the Senate needs to take a page out the House book. I am not going to hold my breath on that one though. *sigh* I certainly hope that the democrats continue down this path however. So I will end this particular rant with that.
In other news, I am about to finish my first term in college. Woohoo! I think that I will end up with pretty decent grades, and the next term has some classes that I think I will enjoy. Guess we will see.
The kids are doing well and Piper is making lots of progress in her speech. She is uttering some 2 word phrases from time to time and getting more consistant with the single words that she uses. Woohoo! Allissa is making some good progress with her speech as well. Not sure if it has much to do with her teacher or not, but I am happy for any progress on that front. I will be doing the early registration for 4-K for Allissa in a couple of weeks, and I am excited about that. I think that she will benefit greatly from being around other kids her age, and I think that ultimately it will help her clarity in talking. Might help her with making her "F" sounds as well.
I think that is about it from our world for now. :)

Knitting Projects
Ok, I am finally posting some pictures of some of my recent knitting projects in all their various stages of completion.
Here is a progress shot of a pair of socks I am hoping to get made up sometime before the end of the year. I am making them using the Hedwig pattern. It is slow going as I get bored purling all the time, but I am determined to get them done! Lol
This picture shows the top of this really neat pattern called Bubble Wrap
. I finished the first sock and am working on the second so that I will have a matching pair at the end. That is a good thing right? I did have to modify the pattern just a bit, cause I have really narrow heels and feet. I am very pleased with how this one turned out though.

Exciting News!
It is official! I will be starting an online degree program on December 3rd. Woohoo! I will be studying to get my Associate Degree in the Medical Assistant field. I will be taking 2 classes every 10 weeks and the best part is that I never have to leave my house! Lol! My hope is to use this degree as a stepping stone to becoming an ultrasound technician, but we shall see what the future holds. At this point I just want to concentrate on getting through my first 2 classes.
Oh, we had a really nice visit with my SIL yesteday. I guess that her husband decided to stay in Ireland and work so that they would have some extra $$$ for the holidays. Sounds good to me! Piper and Allissa took awhile to warm up to Julie since they don't remember her from last year. I am not really surprised, as they are both that way around anyone they don't know. My FIL was trying to explain to Piper (who is 18 months old btw) that Julie is her Aunt, so she is ok. I think it really bothered him that the girls didn't want anything to do with her at first. Oh well.
Can I just say that I forgot how different the slang is between Ireland and America? Julie would open her mouth and say something and I would be searching my brain to see if I could guess as to what she was talking about. I did pretty good for the most part I think. Who knew that a cookie was a biscuit though? I also forgot how everything is either gorgeous, brilliant, or beautiful. Like the tacos we ate for dinner were gorgeous. I am all for using descriptive words in slang, but really, I have yet to find anything that I have eaten that I would describe as tasting gorgeous. ;)
Julie got everyone gifts for Christmas. She got the girls dresses, and Adam a nice sweatshirt. We also got some nice pictures of her with the kids. Or at least as nice as 4 wiggly kids can be at the same time.
